About
Away from work I'm usually on a paddleboard or in a kayak, at the cricket, or at a gig or festival somewhere. I've been married to Rebecca for more than ten years.
I came up through Computing Science, then an MSc in Astrophysics at Imperial — not the usual route into what I do now, but it's served me well. Good governance is just physics for organisations: find the forces actually at work, and the system behaves.
What I actually do — delivery leadership and governance, mostly in financial services, the NHS, and central government — takes up most of the rest of this site, so I won't repeat it here. Short version: I get called in when things are complicated or wobbling, and I sort them out.
My CV lives here, along with Pontifications — longer-form thinking on delivery and technology when something's worth saying properly. Email's the way to reach me.
